Addon Management and Export
The addon selector changes which
Counter-Strike 2 addon
Hammer 5 Tools reads and edits. Addon commands are in the menu beside the selector.
Addon actions
Choose Create new addon to create an addon from a preset. Enter the addon name, select a preset, then click Create Addon.
Choose Import addon to import a
Hammer 5 Tools ZIP archive. The ZIP filename determines
the addon name. If that addon already exists and overwrite is confirmed,
Hammer 5 Tools
deletes both its content/csgo_addons/<addon> and game/csgo_addons/<addon> directories
before extracting the archive.
Choose Delete addon to permanently remove both directories for the selected addon. Check the selected addon before confirming deletion.
Use Open content folder or Open game folder to open the selected addon's files. The launch button says Edit map when the launch parameters contain a map asset; otherwise it says Launch Tools.
Launch parameters
Choose Edit launch parameters to change how the
Counter-Strike 2 tools start. The dialog includes
Custom commands, Gpu ray tracing, Open vmap, Open tools, Steam,
Retail, No insecure, and No customer machine.
Changes are saved immediately as controls are edited; closing the dialog does not cancel
them. The preview shows the configured command, but
Hammer 5 Tools may append mandatory
command-pipe and workshop-filtering flags when the tools actually launch.
In
Hammer 5 Tools 6.0.1, No insecure emits the literal token -noinsecru. Do not rely
on that checkbox to supply a particular
Counter-Strike 2 option. Inspect the preview and use
Custom commands when an exact launch flag is required.
Export an addon
Choose Export addon from the addon menu. The exporter creates an archive from the selected addon's files.
Use the content options to skip non-default content folders or restrict content dependencies to selected VMAP files. Click Add VMap File... to add maps to that list.
Use the compiled-file options to include maps, materials, textures, or models from the game folder. Ignore VCS files leaves .git, .gitignore, and .diversion data out of the archive.
Review the checked files, file count, and total size, then click Export Addon. The
archive is written to <Archive path>/<addon>.zip, using Settings > Archive path.
Hammer 5 Tools asks before overwriting an existing archive.
Delete addon and an accepted import overwrite permanently remove existing content and compiled game files. Back up or commit the addon first.
