Post Processing

Strictly speaking, post processing is not a new feature with Counter-Strike 2 iconCounter-Strike 2. But the new tool makes it easier to change post processing and observe the changes in real time both in hammer and in game. Furthermore, bloom is significantly improved when compared to Source 1, to the point that glow sprites around lights are no longer needed and can be removed altogether.

tip

When creating a new post processing file, both Bloom and Tone Mapping should be used together. Bloom sets the bloom given off from bright light sources and selfillum materials, Tone Mapping adjusts the general brightness and intensity.

Applying post processing into the map requires use of a new mesh entity called post_processing_volume. These volumes have to cover the areas where post processing should be enabled. Alternatively, if it should be enabled across the entire map then tick the Master parameter.
